Residential Case Study
Broughton Crossroads, Extra Care
Location: Broughton nr Preston
Client: J Waring & Sons
Project Value: £1.1M
On Site Programme: 14 Weeks
Project Description: This residential project comprised of two apartment blocks, for which steel was chosen as the structural framing system. Birkbeck Structures was enlisted to provide steel frameworks for the two buildings.
Each block consisted of three storeys. We determined the most effective solution to be our flexible integrated steel frame concept for the structural frame; this was formed from a combination of light gauge steel frame and traditional hot rolled steel, steel deck and concrete floors. This construction method introduces many of the partition and external walls during structural frame installation, allowing for following trades to commence immediately after the erection of each phase/floor.
The end result is a stunning residential construction, completed by a quick and efficient construction project carried out by our expert team.
